ABOUT US

Prairie Pay It Forward is a registered nonprofit charity created to assist individuals and families facing financial hardship, mental health challenges, or unexpected life crises. Our goal is to provide support in a respectful, compassionate, and private manner, ensuring people can access the help they need during difficult moments.

Mental health struggles, addiction, and financial hardship can affect anyone. Too often, individuals fall through the cracks of traditional assistance programs or face barriers that prevent them from getting immediate help. Prairie Pay It Forward was created to bridge that gap.

Our grassroots fund is rooted in compassion, community, and lived experience. We believe that a small act of kindness can make a life-changing difference. By offering timely support, we help people take the first steps toward stability, healing, and hope.

Prairie Pay It Forward assists individuals who may not qualify for traditional aid but urgently need support. Funds may be accessed for a variety of needs that help people move forward, including:

  • Counselling and mental health services

  • Prescriptions and essential medications

  • Immediate financial support for mental health or addiction treatment

Our mission is simple: help people get back on their feet during life’s most challenging moments, with the hope that one day they will be able to pay that kindness forward to someone else in need.

At Prairie Pay It Forward, we believe that compassion has the power to create lasting change.

I am married, and have 4 grown sons, and five grandchildren. My interests include golf and fitness in many forms.

I am a person in long term recovery from an alcohol misuse disorder, and have a passion for sharing my experience, strength and hope with others that are still struggling from addictions.
